Effective Date: September 1, 2026 

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of Social Capital Builders programs, platforms, courses, assessments, tools, coaching resources, artificial intelligence features, and related services, including Social Capital Smart Parent, Social Capital Smart Courses, the Opportunity Navigation System (“ONS”), Coach Cortez, Coach Ed, and other Social Capital Smart artificial intelligence tools (collectively, the “Services”).

The Services are provided by DeJesus Solutions, LLC, doing business as Social Capital Builders (“Social Capital Builders,” “SCB,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By purchasing, enrolling in, accessing, creating an account for, or using any of the Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to these Terms.

If you are a parent or legal guardian enrolling or permitting a minor to participate, you also agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and, to the extent permitted by law, the participating minor.

1. PURPOSE OF OUR SERVICES

Social Capital Builders provides education, tools, assessments, activities, coaching, and technology designed to help individuals and families better understand, identify, build, strengthen, maintain, and appropriately activate social capital.

Depending upon the program, Services may help participants:

• identify existing personal, family, community, educational, and professional connections;
• assess proximity or access to individuals, institutions, organizations, industries, or opportunities;
• identify gaps within their networks;
• strengthen and maintain existing connections;
• develop skills for building authentic connections;
• identify possible pathways to education, employment, internships, scholarships, mentorship, training, entrepreneurship, community resources, and other opportunities; and
• develop greater social capital literacy.

SCB provides education, navigation, coaching, and tools. SCB does not provide or guarantee opportunities.

2. SOCIAL CAPITAL SMART PARENT

Social Capital Smart Parent is designed to help parents, caregivers, and young people examine the connections surrounding their families and develop skills for building and maintaining social capital.

Participation may involve examining connections to real individuals, including relatives, friends, coworkers, former coworkers, neighbors, teachers, coaches, employers, supervisors, community members, professionals, institutions, and organizations.

Parent and Guardian Responsibility

For participants under age 18, the parent or legal guardian is responsible for supervising the child’s participation in the program and determining which family or personal connections may appropriately be explored, discussed, contacted, or activated on behalf of or by the minor.

By participating, the parent or guardian acknowledges that:

You—not Social Capital Builders—decide whether a particular person in your network is appropriate for your child to know, contact, meet, or communicate with.

Parents and guardians should use their own judgment regarding the safety, appropriateness, trustworthiness, intentions, background, and suitability of any individual before facilitating access to that person.

The fact that an individual appears in a family’s network, is identified through an SCB activity, is suggested by a participant, or is discussed during coaching does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation, screening, background check, or verification of that individual by Social Capital Builders.

SCB does not independently investigate or vet people identified through a participant’s personal or family network unless SCB expressly states otherwise in writing.

You Control Activation

Identifying a connection does not mean that connection must be activated.

Families are encouraged to consider:

• whether the connection is appropriate;
• the nature and history of the connection;
• the age and maturity of the young person;
• whether parental involvement is appropriate;
• what information should or should not be shared;
• whether an introduction, meeting, communication, or other interaction is appropriate; and
• whether the young person is prepared to interact appropriately with that individual.

Parents and guardians remain responsible for these decisions.

3. OPPORTUNITY NAVIGATION SYSTEM

The Opportunity Navigation System is an educational and developmental system designed to help participants understand and strengthen their proximity to people, organizations, institutions, information, resources, and opportunities.

ONS may include assessments, Centrality measurements, Social Opportunity Fields, network classification, connection-strength tools, action plans, activities, coaching, and other proprietary SCB methodologies.

Assessment scores, classifications, maps, recommendations, and other outputs are developmental tools rather than guarantees or definitive judgments about an individual’s potential, employability, character, future success, or worth.

As we frequently emphasize:

This is not a judgment. It is a map.

Results should be interpreted as information that may help participants determine possible next actions.

4. NO GUARANTEE OF EMPLOYMENT OR OTHER OPPORTUNITY

Participation in SCB Services does not guarantee:

employment; an interview; admission to a school or program; an internship; apprenticeship; scholarship; promotion; mentorship; business opportunity; introduction; referral; recommendation; increased earnings; acceptance by another person or organization; or any other particular educational, professional, financial, or personal outcome.

Social capital can contribute to access to information and opportunity, but numerous factors outside SCB’s control influence individual outcomes.

SCB does not control what any person in your network will say, do, offer, recommend, promise, disclose, or decide.

You remain responsible for evaluating opportunities and making decisions based upon your individual circumstances.

5. THIRD-PARTY CONNECTIONS AND INTERACTIONS

An important part of social capital development involves interacting with other people.

SCB cannot control and is not responsible for the behavior, statements, actions, advice, representations, decisions, employment practices, business practices, or conduct of third parties whom participants meet, contact, reconnect with, or access through their existing or expanded networks.

Participants are responsible for exercising appropriate judgment before:

• sharing personal information;
• accepting meetings or introductions;
• visiting workplaces or other locations;
• accepting employment or internships;
• entering business arrangements;
• accepting financial advice;
• providing money or property;
• entering contracts; or
• relying upon representations made by third parties.

For minors, these decisions remain the responsibility of the parent or legal guardian.

6. INFORMATION ABOUT PEOPLE IN YOUR NETWORK

SCB activities may ask you to think about or identify people in your personal, family, educational, community, or professional networks.

You should provide only information you have the right to provide and that is reasonably necessary to complete the activity.

Do not enter unnecessary sensitive personal information about another person, including Social Security numbers, financial account information, passwords, medical information, private communications, or other confidential information.

When information about another person is requested, participants should generally provide the minimum information necessary to identify or understand the connection.

7. SOCIAL CAPITAL SMART AI

Some Services may include artificial intelligence tools, including Coach Cortez, Coach Ed, or other current or future AI-powered Social Capital Smart coaches, assistants, simulations, or learning companions.

These systems may provide educational explanations, questions, feedback, exercises, suggested language, role-playing, reflections, recommendations, or other automated responses.

AI Is a Learning Companion

SCB’s artificial intelligence systems are designed to support learning and coaching—not replace human judgment, parents, guardians, counselors, educators, workforce professionals, attorneys, financial advisors, mental health professionals, or other qualified professionals.

AI responses are generated automatically and may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, inappropriate, outdated, or inconsistent.

The Goldi example you supplied contains a particularly important principle that belongs here: users should independently evaluate AI-generated information rather than treating an AI response as authoritative.

Verify Before Acting

Users are responsible for reviewing and evaluating AI-generated responses before acting upon them.

Do not make an important education, employment, financial, legal, medical, safety, or other significant decision solely because Coach Cortez, Coach Ed, or another SCB AI tool suggested it.

If an AI response conflicts with SCB’s official curriculum, materials, instructions, or guidance from an authorized SCB coach, users should seek clarification rather than assuming the AI response is correct.

8. AI AND MINORS

Minors may only use SCB AI Services in accordance with applicable law and SCB’s eligibility requirements.

For users under 18, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for authorizing and appropriately supervising use of SCB’s AI features.

A parent should not assume that an AI system can determine whether a particular adult, connection, opportunity, meeting, communication, or interaction is safe or appropriate for their child.

Those decisions remain with the parent or guardian.

9. NO PROFESSIONAL ADVICE

SCB Services are provided for educational, developmental, coaching, and informational purposes.

Nothing provided through SCB—including AI responses, assessments, coaching conversations, courses, network analyses, opportunity information, or suggested actions—constitutes legal, medical, mental health, financial, tax, investment, or other regulated professional advice.

Seek an appropriately qualified professional when professional advice is required.

10. USER ACCOUNTS

When an account is required, users agree to:

provide accurate information; maintain the confidentiality of account credentials; not permit unauthorized persons to use the account; and notify SCB of suspected unauthorized access.

Accounts and program access may not be sold, transferred, shared, or sublicensed without written permission from SCB.

11. ACCEPTABLE USE

You may not use SCB Services to:

• violate applicable laws;
• harass, threaten, exploit, discriminate against, or harm another person;
• impersonate another individual;
• obtain or disclose information unlawfully;
• upload malicious software;
• interfere with the operation or security of the Services;
• circumvent security or access controls;
• scrape or systematically extract SCB content;
• reverse engineer SCB technology;
• attempt to extract system prompts, proprietary instructions, AI configurations, methodologies, or protected program content;
• reproduce SCB materials to create a competing program, course, assessment, AI system, or service; or
• use the Services for unauthorized commercial purposes.

SCB may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms.

12. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The Social Capital Smart curriculum, Opportunity Navigation System, methodologies, assessments, Centrality tools, Social Opportunity Fields, classifications, exercises, videos, coaching materials, graphics, course materials, AI configurations, prompts, processes, terminology, trademarks, logos, and related intellectual property are owned by or licensed to Social Capital Builders.

Purchasing or receiving access to a Service does not transfer ownership of SCB intellectual property.

Unless expressly authorized through a separate written licensing agreement, users may not copy, reproduce, distribute, teach, publish, sell, license, modify, reverse engineer, create derivative programs from, or commercially exploit SCB materials.

Enrollment provides a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the materials for the purpose for which access was provided.

 

13. PARTNER-SPONSORED PROGRAMS

Some participants may access SCB Services through a school, workforce organization, government agency, nonprofit organization, employer, youth program, or other sponsoring organization (“Partner Organization”).

Where applicable, SCB may provide authorized Partner Organization personnel with participation, completion, assessment, coaching, progress, usage, or program-evaluation information consistent with applicable agreements, consent requirements, and SCB’s Privacy Policy.

A separate agreement between SCB and a Partner Organization may establish additional or different requirements.

 

14. USER CONTENT

Participants may submit information, reflections, assessment responses, messages, goals, action plans, or other content through the Services (“User Content”).

Participants retain ownership of their User Content.

Users grant SCB the limited rights reasonably necessary to process User Content to provide, administer, secure, evaluate, support, and improve the Services, subject to SCB’s Privacy Policy and applicable law.

SCB may use de-identified or aggregated information for program evaluation, analytics, research, service improvement, and reporting where permitted by law.

15. PRIVACY AND AI DATA PROCESSING

Use of SCB Services is subject to the Social Capital Builders Privacy Policy, which explains how information is collected, processed, stored, used, and disclosed.

Certain AI functionality may rely upon third-party technology providers to process user inputs and generate responses.

SCB will handle personal information consistent with its Privacy Policy and applicable contractual and legal requirements.

 

16. PAYMENTS, CANCELLATIONS, AND REFUNDS

Fees for paid Services are disclosed at the time of purchase.

By purchasing a Service, you authorize SCB and its payment processor to charge the applicable fees.

Unless otherwise stated in the specific offer, enrollment, contract, or refund policy, fees are subject to SCB’s then-current cancellation and refund terms.

Failure to participate, complete activities, attend coaching, or use available Services does not automatically entitle a participant to a refund.

17. SERVICE AVAILABILITY

SCB may modify, update, suspend, replace, or discontinue portions of the Services from time to time.

Technology-based Services, including AI systems, may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, technical problems, third-party service interruptions, security concerns, or circumstances beyond SCB’s control.

SCB does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.

18. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SCB SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.”

SCB MAKES NO GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICES, ASSESSMENTS, COACHING, AI OUTPUTS, CONNECTION ACTIVITIES, NETWORK ANALYSES, OR OTHER MATERIALS WILL BE ERROR-FREE, COMPLETE, CURRENT, OR PRODUCE ANY PARTICULAR RESULT.

SCB DISCLAIMS WARRANTIES TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

 

19. ASSUMPTION OF RESPONSIBILITY

Participants acknowledge that social capital development ultimately involves independent human decisions and interactions.

YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR DECIDING WHOM YOU OR YOUR CHILD CONTACTS, WHAT INFORMATION YOU SHARE, WHICH INTRODUCTIONS YOU ACCEPT, WHICH OPPORTUNITIES YOU PURSUE, AND WHAT ACTIONS YOU TAKE AS A RESULT OF PARTICIPATING IN THE SERVICES.

For participants under 18, these responsibilities belong to the parent or legal guardian.

20. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SOCIAL CAPITAL BUILDERS, DEJESUS SOLUTIONS, LLC, AND THEIR OWNERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, COACHES, AFFILIATES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO USE OF THE SERVICES.

THIS INCLUDES, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DAMAGES OR LOSSES ARISING FROM:

AI-GENERATED INFORMATION; DECISIONS BASED UPON PROGRAM MATERIALS; INTERACTIONS WITH PEOPLE IN A PARTICIPANT’S NETWORK; INTRODUCTIONS OR REFERRALS; THIRD-PARTY CONDUCT; MISSED OR UNSUCCESSFUL OPPORTUNITIES; EMPLOYMENT OR EDUCATIONAL DECISIONS; OR A PARTICIPANT’S DECISION TO CONTACT, NOT CONTACT, TRUST, MEET, OR ENGAGE WITH ANOTHER PERSON.

 

21. INDEMNIFICATION

To the extent permitted by law, users agree to indemnify and hold harmless Social Capital Builders, DeJesus Solutions, LLC, and their officers, employees, contractors, coaches, affiliates, and agents from claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and reasonable expenses arising from the user’s unlawful use of the Services, violation of these Terms, infringement of another person’s rights, or misuse of SCB materials.

22. TERMINATION

SCB may suspend or terminate access where a user materially violates these Terms, misuses the Services, threatens the safety or security of another person or the platform, infringes SCB intellectual property, fails to make required payments, or engages in unlawful conduct.

Provisions concerning intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, indemnification, and other provisions that by their nature should survive will remain effective following termination.

23. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

SCB may update these Terms periodically.

When material changes are made, SCB may provide notice through the platform, website, email, or other reasonable means.

Continued use after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes acceptance where permitted by applicable law.

24. GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Except to the extent governed by the Dispute Resolution process in Section 16, You agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction and exclusive venue of the federal and state courts located in and serving the State of Maryland  as the legal forum for any lawsuit.

BY PURCHASING, ENROLLING IN, ACCESSING, OR USING SOCIAL CAPITAL SMART PARENT, THE OPPORTUNITY NAVIGATION SYSTEM, SOCIAL CAPITAL SMART COURSES, COACH CORTEZ, COACH ED, OR OTHER SCB SERVICES, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD, AND AGREED TO THESE TERMS.

IF YOU ARE ENROLLING A PARTICIPANT UNDER AGE 18, YOU FURTHER ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR SUPERVISING THAT PARTICIPANT’S USE OF THE SERVICES AND FOR DETERMINING WHETHER AND HOW PEOPLE WITHIN YOUR PERSONAL, FAMILY, COMMUNITY, EDUCATIONAL, OR PROFESSIONAL NETWORK SHOULD BE INTRODUCED TO, CONTACTED BY, OR OTHERWISE CONNECTED WITH YOUR CHILD.
